Interview Done By Mike Wilkerson

MW: Please introduce yourself?
UB: I’m Uzi Baruch, the crazy part of container wars cast members.

MW: What did you think when Season 1 of Container Wars was such a big hit? UB: I was happy/surprised, although I had a feeling its gone be good show to watch because of the cast member are all unique and fun to watch.

MW: What was your favorite episode of Container Wars Season 1 or 2?
UB: Without a doubt the episode when we won the handbags. On TV you can only see short part of how we got it because of editing but the story was we only had left $10000 to spend and we knew Deanna saw what’s inside and she will pay a lot more but we manage to trick her soooo well and we bought it for $9500. Everyone still talking about that move!!

MW: How has Season 2 of Container Wars been so far?
UB: Crazy, funny, amazing, you must wait and see.

MW: Do you get along with all the other bidders?
UB: I know it seems like we all hate each others but its only during business hours, after work we are all good friends and always help each other. We all are lovers not fighters!

MW: What do you say to the people watching and reading this that says Container Wars is fake?
UB: On TV you see 23 minutes out of 14 hours working day so sometimes bad editing can make it  look unreal but if you still have doubt you can come by my warehouse and shop for a lot of the items you me buy on the show.

MW: Do you get a lot of fan mail?
UB: Not a lot, here and there im getting emails or people that recognize me at the street say hi and been all cool. By the way it’s  time to say thanks for all the support I really appreciate that and love you all.

MW: If you could add bidders from any other show similar to Container Wars who would it be?
UB: BERRY from Storage Wars, it would be hilarious working with him at the yard.

MW: What else are you doing other then Container Wars?
UB: Me and Shlomi own clothing companies http://www.salsit.com, http://www.tashaapparel.com, 2 clothing stores, and 3 warehouses so we are pretty busy I would say.

MW: do you do appearances?
UB: Not really but if someone will ask me to and it’s for good reason I will defiantly do it.

MW: How can a event book you?
UB: Just message me on Facebook and I’ll do my best to come by.

MW: What would you like to say in closing?
UB: I’m just another simple guy that found himself on TV and I always stay the same down to earth guy, I love my cast members like family but its time to say huge thanks for all of our fans that support us and watching the show I really love you all and hope you will enjoy every episode. thank you again!

MW: How is it working on the show with the bidders on Container Wars?
DM: Working on the show with the bidders is exciting. We are all competitive and all have our own strategies of bidding to win the containers. I love competition as a former beauty pageant winner. Playing with the boys is not easy, but I know how to hold my own and I am there to win!!!

MW: Tell me a little about each one?
DM: Working with each of them is intense. Getting to know their game is key. John our Auctioneer is always looking out for a clean and fair bidding war and I love him for that!!! The Kids are the ones I keep my eye on most of the time, Matthew has 30 years experience and can be a good team player if the money gain is there, Jason is unpredictable, Mo and Ty are exactly as they seem – a Big Presence and there to win. For the most part I am just one of the boys in the group and we are all there to compete to win!!

MW: What do you think when people say there are too many of these shows on TV now?
DM: Reality TV is the current trend for what TV viewers want to watch. Viewers will love “Container Wars” and the awesome people. Tune in and watch. Believe me you will love the show.

MW: What do you have to say about people saying shows like this are fake?
DM: As a full time Treasure Hunter the income I make for my personal business is very real.

MW: How has the response for Container Wars been?
DM: The response for Container Wars has been nothing but positive feedback.

MW: Give me a story from a Container Auction?
DM: You’re going to have to tune in every Sunday on truTV to watch Container Wars. Make sure you check your local listings for the time in your area.

I love competing in pageants and I am also involved in my Community and local Charity organizations. But for the most part I love what I do for a living which is treasure hunting.

MW: What would you like to say in closing?

Interview Done By Mike Wilkerson

MW: Please introduce yourself?

JK: I’m Auctioneer John Kunkle appearing on the new Reality Series, Container Wars, new to truTV in January 2013.

MW: How did you get involved with Container wars on tru-TV?

JK: T-Group Productions, on behalf of truTV, found me, through my website, it was a complete and pleasant surprise I must say! I guess it was my “seasoned experiences” of working diverse crowds into frenzies at gala/benefit functions, classic car and antique auctions and those Municipal Lien Sale car auctions I did for a major Southern California city from the Summer of ’79 forward … I’ve raised millions of dollars over the years for a wide variety of charitable causes. I think the casting folks at T-Group thought I possessed an ability to command attention!

MW: How many episodes is season 1?

JK: Initially, six episodes have been created thus far, four of which I appear as auctioneer and two with Penny Daily as auctioneer. I’m thinking after a few episodes air, they’ll get a feeling for moving forward.

MW: How is it working on the show with the bidders on Container Wars?

JK: Working with them is just like what I’ve always done, the way I see it, if they don’t want it, I’m not twistin their nose with pliers till they squeal, just like a dairy farmer though, I’m milken em for all they got, that’s what I do .. They know when to quit … if they wanna turn a profit that is!

MW: Tell me a little about each one?

JK: Well Deana is a seasoned buyer/seller of antiquities, Matthew, a successful container buyer for nearly thirty years and backed with a couple million in buying power. I’m still getting to know these guy’s, it’ll take a while … It’s the nature of these kinda buyers to be reserved in comment for fear they’ll give up a trade secret or something. Mo and Ty work together and come in with their little telescopes whispering in each other’s ears. Uzi and Shlomi are always working an angle, opportunist to the highest degree and Jason works alone, he’s got a lot of tricks up his sleeve too!

MW: What do you think when people say there is too many of these shows on TV now?

JK: Everybody’s got opinions today; I take it with a grain of salt. My reaction on that is simply that media networks have a handle on what works and what doesn’t, if auction shows were a dead horse, they wouldn’t invest in more! As an Auctioneer for over 33 years, I can attest to the fact that folks are infatuated by auctioneers for the entertainment aspect.

MW: What do you have to say about people saying shows like this are fake?

JK: In reality, gambling on contents inside of abandoned or seized shipping containers is a big stakes game that some, with hefty capital, participate in throughout the world … TruTV brings that reality to your flat screen, it’s as close to reality as you can get short of gettin in the game yourself!

MW: How has the response for Container Wars been?

JK: Container Wars is brand new as of 1/13/13 … We the cast promoted the premier with a red carpet event down in Orange County Ca. Two, maybe 300 folks attended, I got photos of a mass audience with grins on their faces … that tells me the show is not only informative, but downright entertaining as well!

MW: Give me a story from a Container Auction?

JK: Oh, come on … I ain’t goin there, you gotta watch it! I’ll just say that each one gets better in my opinion.

MW: What else do you do?

JK: Ride my Harley and watch my Grandkids grow.

MW: What would you like to say in closing?

JK: I think the twist here and what makes this show stand out is the potential uniqueness of the merchandise that’s discovered in shipping containers. The typically larger stakes involved are a stimulus as well. Last but not least is in my opinion the synergy we the cast have working together. I’m old enough to their father, most of em anyway … but they’re sharp enough to teach me a few things along the way. Container Wars is good, clean fun and worth a watch … check it out Sundays at 10:30 Eastern/7:30 Pacific on truTV!
