MW: Tell me about how your product came about?

CD-J: Uncle Woody had a candy shop in Illinois is the 1950’s where he was known for his delicious caramel corn. The creators of Seattle Popcorn Company were good friends with Uncle Woody and his family. In 2002, they started Seattle Popcorn Company, to carry on Uncle Woody’s homemade, all natural deliciousness.

MW: How me different lines do you have?

CD-J: We carry two different lines of popcorn: sweet and savory. The sweet popcorn’s include Original Caramel, Butterscotch made with vanilla bourbon puree and Cinnamon Butterscotch. Our savory popcorn’s are Truffle Salt, White Cheddar and Chipotle. We also make a private label Sriracha Savory corn.

MW: Do you have any other products coming out?

CD-J: We are always looking into new flavors and experimenting with new ideas.

MW: What is your best selling product?

CD-J: The original Caramel Corn and the savory Truffle Salt are our two best selling popcorns.

MW: Where can consumers find your product in the store?

CD-J: We are in numerous locations in the Pacific Northwest as well as Homegoods and Marshall’s nationwide. You can visit our website to find a location near you.

MW: Do you do food trade show?

CD-J:  Not really. We participate in local street fairs across Western Washington during the summer months. We have a representative that occasionally takes our products to food trade shows.

MW: What do you see in the future for your company?

CD-J: We would love to have Uncle Woody’s popcorn available to customers across the entire country. So that everyone may have the ability to purchase homemade, all natural, gluten free, delicious popcorn.
