Interview Done By Mike Wilkerson

MW: Please introduce yourself?

AM: Hi, I am Addy Miller.

MW: How would fans of The Walking Dead TV show on AMC know you?

AM: Hopefully everyone remembers the Little Girl Walker with the bunny slippers and teddy bear that met Rick Grimes at the gas station.  I am The Walking Dead’s first zombie and first zombie kill, and the opening scene of the entire series in “Days Gone Bye”.

MW: How did you get cast as a walker on The Walking Dead?

AM: I had to audition for my role on The Walking Dead, just like other cast members.  I remember the audition because the script I got was so cut down to just one part of my scene and they wouldn’t tell me anything about the show.  About 10 days later I found out I got the part!

MW: Tell me about zombie school?

AM: Zombie school was a lot of fun! There were all these obstacle courses, some Romero films, and lots of learning how to move around. I made up a really cool walk too, but then Mr. (Frank) Darabont told me I had to shuffle for my scene so I appear like a lost little girl.  So I never got to do my zombie walk.

MW: What did you think when you saw what walker you would be?

AM: I found out at my final fitting with Greg Nicotero that I would be the opening scene. I did not know this before; I guess I just didn’t think about where I was in the show.  I was very excited and am so thankful that Mr. Darabont decided to put me there!

MW: Did your parents say holy crap?

AM: No (laughing). My mom was up out of her seat cheering and we were all jumping up and down.  I had not seen my scene fully until it aired live on TV! I was just so proud and everyone was just super happy and thrilled!

MW: How is it being one of the most iconic walkers on the Walking Dead?

AM: Well I had no idea it was going to be like this or that fans would be saying that about me.  It feels real good and I am very thankful and blessed to be part of the show!

MW: Would you come back to be in a role in Season 4 if asked?

AM: Yes!! I sure hope that happens one day, it would be like going home.

MW: Did you get to play a walker in any other episodes?

AM: No I didn’t. I think I am too young to be a background walker, I think you have to be 18 years old.

MW: Have you done any conventions as a guest yet?

AM: Oh yes. I have been touring on the convention scene since December 2010!!  I have lost count on how many conventions and appearances I have made, probably between 30 and 40.

MW: What new conventions will you be at in 2013?

AM: I’m not really sure what my schedule is right now.  We have a booking agent that handles all that for us.

MW: Who is the coolest actor on The Walking Dead to work with?

AM: Well I guess that is easy for me because I only worked with one, Andrew Lincoln.  He was amazing.  He actually came up to me and introduced himself and said “I want to get to know you before I have to shoot you” or something like that.  We all laughed and then we went into the air conditioning to talk. (Smiling)

MW: What else are you doing other then The Walking Dead?

AM: I have several movies I will be filming this year, most of them are indies, and no, they aren’t all scary. I get back on set in February and I can’t wait!  Just check out my Facebook page (Addy Miller Fan Page) to follow what I have going on this year!

MW: What would you like to say in closing?

AM: I guess I just want to thank all the fans out there that support me and follow me!  I love hearing from them and they are always so sweet! I am also on Twitter (@TheAddyMiller) and Instagram (@TheAddyMiller), and of course on Facebook.  You can also follow my filming on IMDb (  Thank you!
