L: Hey there I am Lyanna an Alternative Plus Size Model, bright red hair tons of Tattoos and Piercings, from Germany.

MW: When did you become a plus size model?
L: Well I started over 10 years ago as a Gothic Model and as you can see from my size I am within the “normal model business” a Plus Size.

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?
L: A friend took me to a photo shoot when I was 15 and the pictures came out pretty good… So I wanted to get better and better pictures.

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?
L: Usually I am booked within the Alternative, Gothic and Metalscene through my look. The bright red hair, Piercings and Tattoos. But I also do Beauty Portraits. Everything that makes fun!

MW: What magazines have you posed for?
L: None up till now. Hopefully soon.

MW: Have you done acting? In what?
L: Acting only within some musicals in my school time.

MW: Have you been in a music video?
L: None up till now, but would love to.

MW: Where is your favorite place to model?
L: There are a few places I would love to shoot. But classical within Nature. Depends on the shoot. Guess you just have to rock the place.

MW: Who is your favorite photographer? And why?
L: One of my favorite Photographers I worked with is Timo Raab (https://www.facebook.com/timoraab.de) Just love the way how he is working and it’s always fun to work togehter.

MW: What do you hope for in the future?
L: More shootings, maybe being a Plus Size Model for one of the bigger Gothic Brands.

MW: Please introduce yourself?

EE: I am a Turkish origin girl born in 1975 in Erbach, a small town in southwest of Germany.

I finished my high school in 1991. In 1994, I finish my vocational school with the degree of handmade dress maker where I got taught about fashion styling and makeup for models. I also experienced runaway modeling to represent my own designed and handmade collection. I also worked as a nurse. Furthermore I worked as a marketing manager. My hobbies are singing, dancing, swimming and taking part in charity work.

MW: When did you become a plus size model?

EE: 2009 after winning some pageants.

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?

EE: I always felt that I wasn’t the ideal looking girl in the eyes of most of the people in society so I decide to get a surgery for lose weight and got a gastric banding in 2008. I lost weight but also short by to lose my life. After a long discussion with the specialist I decided that let them take that band out. Although I would be more thicker after taking that out but I choose my life and start loving myself. Couple of months later I saw an internet beauty
pageant so I decided to send my some pictures for it just to see whether they like it or not. And then I got shocking news that I won that pageant. It was really surprising for me. This pageant gave me more self-confidence to move on and then one comes to the other and I become a plus size model.

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?

EE: Photo-shoots, Runaway, Fashion shows.

MW: What magazines have you posed for?

EE: I have never posed for any magazines but I have worked for a private TV channel in turkey as fashion model. I also became the new face of Collections.

MW: Have you done acting?

EE: I have not got any chance till now in acting, but I really wish to do.
In 1995 I got an offer from the state theatre in Darmstadt Germany but
my parent’s didn’t allow me because according to them I was too young
for theatre and I should concentrate more on my studies.

MW: Have you been in a music video?

EE: Not yet but again I wish I can do it in future. Not only as model but
as singer as well

MW: Where is your favorite place to model?
EE: On runaway.

MW: Who is your favorite photographer?
EE: I love to work with different photographer.
MW: What do you hope for in the future?

EE: I want to persuade my career as a model but furthermore I want to test

DD: Hola and HOWDY Y’ALL! I am Dizzy Diabla! Your plus size, curvy devil from San Antonio, TEXAS!!

MW: When did you become a plus size model?

DD: I jumped back into modeling this December! After a long hiatus I stumbled upon some inspiration and kicked my butt back into gear!!! J

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?

DD: My main reason was to try to portray a body positive message! The media has brainwashed people into thinking beauty only comes in single digit sizes when in fact beauty is more of a “ONE SIZE FITS ALL” kind of thing!

MW: Please introduce yourself?
TC: I go by Treasure Chest. I’m a burlesque dancer, a pirate, and a modified doll.

MW: When did you become a plus size model?
TC: 2012.

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?
TC: To help promote my burlesque side and more recently to help with charity work.

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?
TC: I really like doing pirate shoots, and pin up.

MW: What magazines have you posed for?
TC: None yet, but hopefully that will be changing soon.

MW: Have you done acting?
TC: Not since high school, and that was just some small time play, but it was fun.

MW: Where is your favorite place to model?
TC: Anywhere outside that has things for me to climb on. I have a weird thing where I love climbing trees in high heels.

MW: Who is your favorite photographer? And why?
TC: Currently I’ve only worked with J. Baker, but I love him! He’s easy to work with, and the final pictures look great and still look like me and not a Barbie version of me.

MW: What do you hope for in the future?
TC: To learn to eat fire to make my burlesque act more interesting. And I will hopefully be doing a published photo shoot sometime in the near future is things go according to plan.

I’m a big girl with tattoos and piercings, I don’t fit the “norm,” but I’m doing things I love and I’m helping others through charities I help promote, so I would rather be different if it means I can do all that.

MW: Please introduce yourself?
S: My name is Spike, I am a very friendly body positive person, I am helpful, went to cosmetology school, and a huge animal lover. I have a Persian Cat whom is very spoiled and a German Shepherd puppy whom is a handful. xD I am size 20/22 but all depends on store, brand and size.

MW: When did you become a plus size model?
S: Honestly? I went through a bad breakup and a friend put my photos online and people started saving and sharing them, then a few photographers approached me and wah-la. Also, this started in 2010. So for two years, and I have come far very quickly and all on freelance, no agency or manager. I hope to find a good one soon and go even farther.

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?
S: Honestly, I wanted to when younger and due to bad parenting my mother told me no one wants “fat models” so I gave up, but after I left people showed me some models that were actually bigger than me and were super gorgeous, so i picked up my dream again and began, and thanks to a lot of friends I was able to accomplish my dream, even though so many people stood in the way and tried to put me down, even now I still get hate saying “leave modeling to thin girls”, and I want to prove that beauty has no size, no certain shape, same as one tree cannot be more gorgeous than all the others in the forest, instead they stand and appreciate all together, whether some have thick branches or small twigs.

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?

S: Yes, MTV stages a lot of their “reality” TV shows, so I was featured in True Life as well as a local Hip Hop artist for his music video.

S: I love all places, both in studio and on location, It all depends on how you use your stage, whether you use natural or you set it up to be a wonderland of things.

MW: Who is your favorite photographer? And why?
S: There are so many. xD Well, I love DLowMC, he did my first studio shoot ever and was so nice, his photos were flawless unedited and after editing was just spectacular, Ying’s Artistic Vision, because she helped teach me a lot of both photography and modeling since she is a friend whom I did a shoot with and known her in school, Chris Bennett, He is a dashing young man, Love his personality and he has done a few shoots, like the one in the antique yard , He has such hidden talent and never uses it, And lastly Pantography, he has such talent and I have worked with him a few times, we always learn from each other and he is very supportive.

MW: What do you hope for in the future?
S: In the future I hope the world opens their minds and looks more at people for people, as of now so much hate goes to girls whether they are too skinny or too fat, instead of looking at all of them as a person, Soon I hope the populous opens up and loves all people, of all ages, Plus I hope to see more ethnicity, I love the look of African American models and it seems there are such a lack of them . In the future I also hope to get more known, do more shoots, be in Plus Model Mag, and many other places.

MW: Do you do appearances? How can someone book you?
I do appearances, mostly in FL, if you are outside the state and can provide compensation I shall travel, I have a model mayhem and a business phone for people to reach me.

MW: Please introduce yourself?

T: Hello. I’m Tiffany.

MW: When did you become a plus size model?

T: I started getting serious about it about 4 years ago. I’ve always been in classes for acting, singing, and dance, so have had head shots done quite often. I feel in love with being in front of the camera and things took off from there.

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?

T: I became a plus size model to show the world that women come in all shapes and sizes. I hate that women and kids think they have to be a size 0 to be beautiful. I have a 13 year old little sister who is struggling with this now and I hate to see her go thru it. She’s a thicker girl like myself and feels fat and like she can’t eat. For me this is a problem I went thru all of this and realized the only Person I had to please was me and if I was happy and comfortable with myself nothing else mattered. I want young girls and women to have confidence within them no matter what they look like. Everyone is beautiful!

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?

T: I do it all. I’m very diverse. I enjoy pin up the most I think though.

MW: What magazines have you posed for?

T: No major ones yet a couple websites but I’m working on it.

MW: Have you done acting?

T: Yes I have. I actually went to a performing arts high school in Vegas. I’ve been in a couple plays, student films, and commercials.

MW: Have you been in a music video?

T: No but that would be fun wouldn’t it?

MW: Where is your favorite place to model?

T: So far favorite city to model in is New York. I love the gritty city feel.

MW: Who is your favorite photographer? And why?

T: I’ve worked with some pretty awesome people that are so creative. My favorite shoot I’ve done is probably Lindy Melendez. His work is just exquisite. He definitely has an amazing eye. He made me look and feel like I was the most beautiful woman in the world.

MW: What do you hope for in the future?

T: Well I hope to be signed soon. I’ve been searching for agencies going to every casting call I can. I don’t know what the future holds for me In modeling right now I’m just enjoying every second of it and making the most incredible memories a person can have.

MW: Please introduce yourself?

DT: My name is Dallas Trent

MW: Why did you become a plus size model?

DT: It’s been a dream of mine to model/act/sing since I was a little girl… I’ve been posing since I was in my mother’s womb. Just ask her, she’ll tell ya! As you know there’s all sorts of models in this world … I like to pursue plus size modeling simply bc Woman of size are all around and its time we get noticed. I think us coming out and showing the world how awesome we are will help many children and grown women feel comfortable with their bodies and realize they don’t have to be sticks to be beautiful!

MW: When did you start working with Plus Size Models For Hire?  

DT: I believe it was May 2012.  And why? Well I met with Reba and hit it off with her right away.  She is a very personable woman and strives for the top constantly! 

MW: What kind of modeling do you do?

DT: I do a lot of print and promotional. I have done runway and some small scene acting 

 

MW: What print and non-print have you had photos in?

DT: Print in Queen Size Models and for Fortis College. 

MW: What are your goals for 2013?

DT: To become known worldwide as a plus size model, to get my face out there and show the world what I have to offer.

MW: What else do you do other then model?

DT: I work out every chance I get, I love it. I nanny for a friend of mine some nights out of the week and am striving to become an emergency dispatcher.
